Hello and
welcome to scotsmag.com, a fully independent online magazine for
Scotland covering all aspects from its history, heritage and culture to
its wildlife, photography and current events. Our aim is to make
scotsmag.com accessible to the widest possible audience throughout the
world with new research and thinking and to shake the 'romantic view' of
Scottish history and the myths surrounding many of our historic events. In the webzine you will find a wide range of articles shedding new light on familiar subjects and not so familiar ones too. There will also be photo features from around Scotland and articles on wildlife, the outdoors, places to visit, attractions and upcoming festivals and events. We hope to also promote Scottish societies, wildlife charities and other independent websites and organisations. We will, over the coming months be building up an extensive adverts section with accommodation providers, arts and craft shops, jewellery specialists, clan societies, golfing links and much more. The webzine will also welcome contributions from you, the readers. This might be on your local town, an area that you visit regularly or even a subject that you have studied. Our aim is to make scotsmag.com an unbiased, hugely accessible online magazine and of course your comments are more than welcome. Neil Ritchie, editor |
